OUR HISTORY
Sierra Bay Hotel is a modern hotel located at Aberdeen Bay in the western Part of Freetown overlooking the Man of war bay. The hotel is blissful and tastefully furnished so you do not miss home, it feel’s like home from home. Sierra Bay Hotel formally known as the Sierra Lighthouse Hotel was re-branded by the new owners and given a complete face lift to meet modern standards.
All of our accommodation at the new Sierra Bay Hotel have a spectacular sea view and the rooms are all deluxe as each room has a sleeping area separate from the living area. The living area also has workspace for business visitor.
It is located next to the famous Sierra Lighthouse Restaurant which puts our guests in close proximity to good food and light entertainment. This restaurant has being in existence discerning customers in Sierra Leone since the 1970's when it was called the Armenian Restaurant.
The Sierra Bay Hotel is in Aberdeen the touristic area of Freetown which can be reached in 25 minutes from Lungi International Airport by water taxi, 1 hour by ferry or 3 hours drive. 15 minutes walk to lumley beach, one of Sierra Leone's best-known beaches and the west coast of Africa. We can book your water taxi and cab from the airport straight to the hotel.
